Today was one of those days. I was tired, but I got myself to the gym anyway. I was ready to go after warm up. To go hard. Today was the day I would hit some new PBs.
After starting my set, I felt dizzy. I had to drop down to lighter weights. In my mind I wanted to get better, to move forward, but I felt like I was going backwards. I’m sure you all know the feeling when your body just doesn’t want to keep up with your mind. It’s annoying. I was ready to throw in the towel and go home, then I remembered why I was here.
I told myself to keep going. Although things aren’t playing out as you planned, you made it to the gym and that means you’re already halfway to improving yourself.
Today I was reminded that it’s okay to feel like you’re going backwards. The full-proof rule that is guaranteed to get you to that personal best is CONSISTENCY, because when we choose to do something that gets us closer to our goal, regardless of the short term “failure”, we are really getting better and moving forward in the long term. Simple, huh?

Stay consistent, my friends!!
